Hypnosis for weight loss or weight gain
Understanding
First of all, if you haven't already, checkout my Hypnotists Mind Model that explain about the conscious, subconscious and unconscious minds.
I am not going to write an essay here about the hows and whys of weight and how dangerous over-fast weight loss is etc etc. There are many many sites on the internet about that already (as I'm sure you've discovered). This page is about how hypnosis can bring your weight under your control and keep it there beit for weight loss or weight gain.
Just like the will power and motivation that is often used when giving up smoking, weight control can also be difficult because of the conscious effort that will power requires. Using hypnosis, however we change the underlying behaviour meaning that (for weight loss) it will feel like the most natural thing in the world for you to have a sensible sized portion and snacking won't even cross your mind. For weight gain through hypnosis, the same underlying change takes place and you will be completely unaware that you are eating slightly more or more often.
Making unconscious changes like this is a wonderfully natural solution and because it is all you and your unconscious, you may not even be aware that anything has changed except the numbers on your scales!
Changing
From a hypnosis standpoint, there are several techniques that work for weight control and they, partially at least, revolve around why we are heavier or lightler than we need:
Habits
"No point leaving any rice in the saucepan, so I'll stick it all on my plate..." which of course later leads to: "Well there's only a few mouthfulls left on the plate, so I might as well get them down..."
Our eating habits and the way we eat have a lot to do with weight control and using hypnosis, we can ensure that your unconscious mind has full control and is fully briefed on what is best for you and how to manage your eating from this day onwards.
And
Emotions
There are many studies and other evidence linking eating to emotions and some times our eating problems (be they too much or too little or simply the wrong type of foods). These problems might be tied to an emotional event or events and using hypnosis we can allow your unconscious mind to examine and deal with these issues thus breaking the link.
You may or may not want or need to be regressed to the event and your unconscious mind will be able to choose whether to share its finding with your conscious mind. This means that at the end of the session you may well have not only made the changes necessary to get control of your weight but also addressed some issues in your past that may have been causing you unconscious pain!
